Description

The full-frame one piece light bar installs without drilling. Mounts to windshield frame hinge side bolts. Fits 1976 – 1995 years CJ-5 (76 – 83), CJ-7 (76 – 86) and Wrangler YJ (86 – 95). Built with 1-1/2″ diameter steel tubing featuring smooth bends without kinks, the assembly is welded in a jig for perfect fit up.
Available in two Searchlight Mounting Plate styles:
- None: Light bar only, no tabs or plates are provided for mounting lights as seen on JP18, JP29.
- Mounted: Includes a top mounting plate for 4 Jabsco-style marine searchlights (not included) as seen on JP12.
Installation:
- Refer to the full installation instructions in the Downloads tab.
- Paint: It is recommended to degrease, sand, coat with an etching primer, build primer, sand, then paint Ford Performance Red (M6564).
- Searchlights: Holes for wires and the small pattern holes for the bases need to be drilled out.
Notes:
- Mounting holes are standard thru-hole type, not counter sink.
- Pictures with red finish is for reference only, the light bar is unpainted bare steel.
- Replaces Sears P/N “28 R 35026”, “28 R 35027”, “28 Y 35026” and “28 Y 35027”.
