Description
Do you have a corroded or damaged ribbon or HuCard board on your NEC PC Engine GT or TurboExpress? This kit is a direct replacement. Included are an FFC ribbon and main board connector which reverses the ribbon direction.
Notes:
- There are two variants, North America region TurboExpress and Japan region PC Engine GT. Be sure to select your correct region.
- This does not offer region-free functionality, a region-free version is offered here.
- The HuCard connector is not provided and must be harvested from your factory board.
- This kit is simple but only for those with advanced soldering experience. Installation requires very fine soldering skills for approximately 0.3mm gaps. A 0.2mm tip soldering iron or similar recommended, such as the Hakko T15-JS02. Needle probe DMM is strongly recommended to verify connections.

Kit Includes:
- HuCard Connector PCB with FFC connector
- Riser Reverser PCB with FFC Connector for Main Board
- FFC Ribbon
Installation Instruction:
- Carefully harvest your HuCard connector from the factory board using a desoldering gun or solder sucker
- Solder the HuCard connector to the new HuCard Connector PCB following the provided footprint outline
- Solder the Riser Reverser PCB to the Main Board as shown in the product photo
- Connect the FFC ribbon between the boards as shown
- Carefully reinstall
